MukhtasarAlyoumBot (English)

Mukhtasar Alyoum is a Saudi news app and website. It publishes short summaries of news stories, and every card names the outlet and links to the original article. MukhtasarAlyoumBot is our crawler.

What it fetches

• RSS feeds and news sitemaps that sites publish for syndication.
• The article page, to write a short summary in our own words with the help of AI. We read robots.txt before fetching article pages and follow it.
• The article's declared image, shown as a small copy next to the summary.

What it does not do

• It never republishes full articles. Source text is deleted from our servers 48 hours after the story last changed; the summary and the link remain.
• It never logs in or gets around paywalls.
• It waits at least 1.5 seconds between requests to the same site.

To keep us off article pages, add to robots.txt:

To stop everything, including feeds and images, email harbimoha1@gmail.com from your site's domain. We stop fetching from your site and reply to you.
